Laurie Tunkel

Vice President, Business Development.

Laurie has over 30+ years of diversified travel industry experience with a thorough understanding of global travel management, account management, operations, procurement, airline negotiations, travel technologies, and a successful track record in business development. She has an excellent skill set in managing/coaching teams, financial analysis, procuring effective client products, and producing ROI management plans. Laurie has successfully led both account management and operations teams to effectively bring value to clients in establishing customized KPI’s with measurement of cost savings initiatives on a global basis.

Laurie began her career at Carroll Travel Bureau in Springfield, MA, then asked to relocate to Connecticut to manage a newly established Thomas Cook Travel office. She then quickly moved into the role of business development to grow Thomas Cook’s presence in Connecticut. She has held management positions with BCD Travel, Radius Travel and most recently with World Travel, Inc., whereby she provided leadership to the Global Account Management team to guarantee overall success of both multinational and global customers. Laurie has also been very involved in GBTA local chapters and held positions of President and VP of Memberships for several years, in her spare time.

Laurie lives in Lakewood Ranch, FL and currently volunteers at the Humane Society at Lakewood Ranch.
