WHY DO I NEED A CONSULTING COMPANY FOR BUSINESS TRAVEL

WHY CAN'T MY TRAVEL AGENCY PROVIDE CONSULTING SERVICES

The business travel industry is overly-complex and lacks standardization even something as simple as the definition of a transaction (most fees are transaction-based).
PTC provides the ability for a sourcing or HR manager to accelerate the process of travel program enhancement because of our deep first-hand knowledge of "what goes on behind the curtain."  Our database of RFP responses provides unique benchmarking information to assist in the analysis of supplier responses.

Travel Management Companies (TMC's) are very capable of providing consulting services for sourcing airlines and hotels; however, unlike  a TMC, PTC does not receive commissions from supplilers.
We have focused our practice on TMC auditing, sourcing and travel program insourcing, none of which can be provided by a TMC with any degree of independence.

We value a client project as a relationship opportunity and typically price our services by the project, instead of by the hour. All projects are supported by a comprehensive Service Level Agreement with agreed-upon Milestones and Deliverables

We've been around as a travel management consulting firm for 19 years and our references are the best sales team for PTC. We also have excellent supplier references, none of whom are clients  (unlike some other consultancies in the travel space).
